Jim Boerigter

President

Recently retired attorney from Kreis Enderle in Kalamazoo, Jim grew up in Muskegon and then attended Hope College before law School. He has been strong advocate for equal justice for all and is a long time Board Member of Legal Aid of West Michigan. He and his family are supporters of Hope College and Hope Western Prison Education Program, which is where he first met Joy.

Jeff Kammeraad

Vice President

Jeff Kammeraad CLU®, ChFC®,CLTC® , RICP® is the founder of a financial advising firm called Kammeraad Financial Group, LLC. He’s been in the financial advisory field for over 30 years. He graduated from Hope College and holds several designations from The American College of Financial Services.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife Valerie and their three children. He enjoys attending Christian Music Concerts, volunteering at the Prison, and spending time outdoors. Jeff is also passionate about the non-profit, Vox United, which he co-founded to provide clean water to people in Africa.

Tammy Boehm

Treasurer

Tammy brings more than 30 years of experience in accounting and financial management across nonprofit, government contracting, manufacturing, and small-business environments. She believes deeply in grace, second chances, and offering practical support that helps people build a new future. Tammy lives in Norton Shores with her husband, Dave, and also writes fiction and poetry as T. L. Boehm.

Bernice Roshak

Bernice brings a wealth of experience with 26 years of serving in correctional ministry. She currently serves as Senior Director of Domestic Operations at Crossroads Prison Ministries, where she oversees the team that processes the correspondence Bible study lessons. She also volunteers weekly with Prison Fellowship's Grow (Academy) program at Muskegon Correctional Facility. She has years of experience facilitating Bible studies and chapel services in jail and various prisons. Her passion is to see people who are incarcerated experience God's redemptive and healing restorative power as they come to faith in Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him. Each time she interacts with someone who is incarcerated, she seeks to share God's love and the hope we have in Christ.

Secretary

Gary Wilcox

Board Member At-Large

Gary brings extensive experience in IT, along with a lived understanding of the correctional system as a returning citizen. After an addiction to prescription opioids led to an 11‑year incarceration, he witnessed firsthand how positive, culture‑building programs can strengthen the lives of incarcerated individuals, correctional staff, families, and communities. Gary now lives in Lansing, Michigan with his wife and son and has resumed his career in IT, contributing his perspective and commitment to the mission of the Something Good Prison Project.
